Registered Dietitian

I completed my Honour’s degree in Dietetics at the University of Pretoria and have been registered as a dietitian for more than 20 years.

I started off my clinical experience at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital, where I worked extensively with diabetic patients as well as patients with cardiovascular conditions, which set me up perfectly for a successful private practice of five years.

But, I needed more…that’s when I joined the world of corporate nutrition and dietetics and soon fell in love with all things paediatric! From fussy eating to managing food allergies, my expertise grew over the 7 years I spent in infant nutrition, and spring-boarded me on to heading up the department of Nutrition, Health and Wellness for the next 8 years.

This is when I realised my true passion for educating the public on nutrition, and to dispel all the misinformation. What better way than to do that through the media platforms we have available…My expertise, advice and tips have been published extensively on local media platforms and I fully relished the opportunity when I worked on SABC 3’s Expresso! I still capitalize on every public speaking opportunity to help turn around nutrition untruths.

I resigned from the corporate world in 2018 to be a stay-at-home mom to the greatest blessing from The Almighty. This side step in my career presented beautiful and exciting new adventures which gave me the best of both sides of my expertise.

As if being the Chairlady of the Infant Feeding Association of South Africa, and being the Chairlady of the Enteral Nutrition Association of South Africa wasn’t challenging enough, being able to manage my own time has brought me back to the clinical field – I am now also the founder and CEO of my private practice.
